Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo | Review

Hey everyone, hope you are all having a good day.

Sorry this isn't the most interesting post ever but some of you might want to see it! It's just a simple review, I'll do these from time to time so comment any product that you'd like to see me review below!

Not Your Mother's CLEAN FREAK Refreshing Dry Shampoo is what I'm reviewing today.

I'd like to point out that I don't use dry shampoo everyday. I wash my hair every other day, and if I see that its a little bit oily, I'll apply some of this. The reason I wash my hair every other day is because washing it everyday is bad for it, you're basically washing out all of the natural oils in your hair, causing it to dry out and get damaged.

I'm going to start with packaging, because that's almost as important as the product for me. I honestly really like the packaging, is it weird to say it looks refreshing? Probably, but it does! It's a decent size and doesn't feel "cheap", as in bad quality. Apart from that there's really nothing to say about the packaging, it's pretty basic.

QUICK TIP : Apply dry shampoo the night before rather then in the morning, I don't really know why this works better, but it honestly does. I think it's because it has more time to absorb the product, correct me if I'm wrong.

This product smells SO good, really fresh... I can't describe smells haha, sorry!

Onto the actual product. Pros & cons:

Pros of the dry shampoo: It absorbs excess oils, leaving my hair looking healthy. It lasts for a good amount of time, I don't find myself reapplying it every 2 hours. It also gives my hair a lot of volume.

Cons of product: It is a little bit drying and if you spray too much into one area it sometimes leaves a powdery finish which is not the easiest thing to brush out.

Also on the back there are instructions on how you're supposed to apply it, so I'll summarize that for you: Spray generously throughout hair, then brush through to diffuse powder.

I have heard good & bad things about this product but it works for me. This obviously won't be the best product for everyone, it all depends on your hair type. So if you don't like this product feel free to tell everyone why in the comments.

And that is all I have to say about this product!

Thank you so much for reading, I appreciate it! I hope this was somewhat helpful for you.

I was thinking about doing a Questions & Answers post next week so that you can all get to know me a bit better, so ask any questions below and I'll answer them! If I get at least 10 I'll do the post, if not I'll just answer them in the comments, feel free to ask more than one question!

Stay tuned for next weeks post!

Benefit Box | Review

Hi everyone! I didn't know what to call this post... But today I'm reviewing a "Benefit Box". Basically, I received this as a gift, and I have no clue what it's actually called, so if you know feel free to let everyone else know in the comments. It's probably called "From LeeLee With Love", but I'm not sure haha.

*DISCLAIMER* I have not been sponsored by anyone to share these products. I am not trying to sell these to you, I am just sharing my opinion to anyone who WANT's to purchase these items.

This "Benefit Box" contains 4 items : mascara, lip gloss, primer & perfume.
Everything is full size expect for the perfume which is a sample, although it is a pretty decent size.

This is what the Benefit Box looks like, it's a good size, although a bit big for 4 small products, but not too big. It's nicely decorated so that you could re use it to store other things such as makeup brushes or different products etc... The front of the box says "From LeeLee With LOVE".

Products from left to right - primer, perfume, mascara, lip gloss.

Onto the review...

1. Benefit Porefessional

I have already written a blog post about this product so if you'd like to read more about this products then click here, this just makes your pores look a lot smaller. The good thing about this product is the fact that a small amount of it goes a long way, meaning it lasts a long time. It leave your skin feeling quite silky and smooth which I personally love!
I believe it's around $30, which it quite pricey for a primer, but in my opinion it's worth it. If you want to test this out but don't want to spend the whole price, you can always purchase the "porefessional deluxe sample" for only $8. If you want even more information you can always check the benefit website or like I said I have written a brief summary on this in a different blog post.

2. Laugh with me LeeLee Perfume

Like I said above, this is a sample size, unlike the other 3 products which are full size. The packaging is really cute, as you can tell of the 3rd picture, there is a poem to describe LeeLee which is a nice touch. The only thing I don't like about this sample is the "applicator" (4th picture), but I do know that the full size product has the normal "spritz" applicator, I don't actually know what it's called haha. I personally would rather have a roll-on applicator though. I don't really know how to describe the scent of this perfume, I literally have it in my hand right now trying to figure out the scent.. The full size is $36, and it's actually on sale on the Benefit website at the moment for $26.

3. Benefit They're Real!

This is another products that I have already mentioned in my Top 3 Mascaras post, so if you're interested in finding out more click here. This is great if you have medium lengthen lashes like me because it makes them look super long. The applicator is amazing, and it's really easy to apply, the wand has many bristles, is very straight, and isn't too flexible. The formula is also great, the only problem is that it's difficult to remove, but it's worth it! They have made a remover specifically for this which has good reviews, but I have yet to try it. This mascara is $23 but you can also buy a sample size for only $8.

4. Benefit Dandelion Lip Gloss

I don't wear lip gloss very often because I don't like the feeling of it, but this is one of the exceptions. This is a nice "soft pink", almost a corral color. It is quite sheer, but still nice to wear alone. I don't really have much to say on this as I don't have an interest for lip glosses, but don't get me wrong I do really like this one!

And that's everything!

Feel free to comment below telling me which products you already own!

If you enjoyed this please share this with your friends as it helps me a lot! :)

Naked 3 by Urban Decay | Swatches & Reviews

Hi everyone! I've been thinking a lot about what I should write about. I haven't been happy with what I've recently posted, I feel like I could've expressed myself in many other ways, better ways. I've decided that I'm going to write about things that I, personally, want to write, not what others expect me to write. I obviously want you all to enjoy what I write and also leave requests in the comments because I do take them all into consideration. I know that I don't have a huge 'audience', but I know there are a few of you that appreciate my blog.

Also, you may have noticed that I have been changing my blog layout. I am still trying to improve the way it looks.. Please let me know what you think needs changing.

Now on to the review...

As you all may know, Urban Decay is very well known for their Naked palettes, Naked1, Naked2 and Naked3. My personal favorite is Naked3 so that's what I am going to review today. I am writing this for the people who have heard about this palette and are wondering if it's worth the money.

I believe the Naked3 is around $50 depending on where you buy it from. The palette has 12 different eyeshadows, some are matte, some are shimmery and all are very pigmented.

Do excuse the quality of the photos, I am still taking them on my iPhone, but I assure you, that will all change very soon.

Enjoy!

This is the box that the palette comes in, mine included 4 samples of the Urban Decay primers.
This is the packaging of the palette, very good quality.
I must admit, at first I didn't plan on purchasing Naked3 because all of the eyeshadows are very pink. I've always been used to neutral eyeshadows, so this was a big step forward. If you really want to try a Naked palette, but want to stay neutral, I recommend the Naked Basics as they're very basic eyeshadows, obviously. Although, if you want a basic eyeshadow palette, you can definitely find a similar one to Naked Basics, for half the price. The list of drugstore eyeshadows could go on and on.. There are so many affordable ones that do just about the same job as high end ones would! But that's a whole other blog post right there. Now onto the swatches.. I want to point out that the photography from my iPhone does not do these shades justice. I will of course point out which eyeshadows are shimmery. First things first, the actual palette...

Shade names:
Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackhear
t
Dust, Burnout, Buzz, Trick, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside and Blackheart are the shimmery shades of the palette. Here are the swatches...

Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner
Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, Blackheart
Sorry about the bad swatching in that last picture, I know I know, i had one job haha. I didn't use any type of primer before applying these, as I wouldn't when applying them to my eyes. I sometimes use a creme eye shadow base, but not all the time as eyeshadow sticks pretty well to my eyelids. As you can tell in the first swatch, the colors are all shades of pink, and in the second swatch, the colors are different shades of brown. That's another thing i love about the palette, I find that i can achieve many different looks with this one palette, which makes it more worth the money. But some of the shades do resemble to others. The only shade that really stands out is Trick. It's a gold shade, one of my favorite shades as it really makes blue eyes stand out (I have blue eyes by the way). Speaking of favorite shades, if i had to choose one, it would have to be Liar. I can't even begin to describe the shade, you have to apply it to understand how beautiful the color is.

If you are still in school, I would't recommend wearing this as it does look kind of heavy and obvious. I did go through a stage where I wore this to school pretty much every day. And looking back, it honestly isn't school appropriate. If you do like wearing this to school then by all means keep wearing it, this is just my opinion and my school so don't let that get in the way of how you feel and how you like to wear your makeup. I don't want to offend anyone with this.

If you need to use a primer then I would recommend the urban decay ones. I have tried all four, assuming there are only four, and I loved them. I personally wouldn't purchase them simply because i don't need them. They're probably a little pricey but I can tell you from the samples that a little bit goes a very long way. A full sized product would last a long time, so it's probably worth the money. But I can't tell you that as a fact obviously.

That is all I have to write about today! I am much happier with this post then I am with the last ones. I feel like they were rushed, and posted for the sake of it.

Sorry for all the changes in layouts, I can't promise that I won't be changing it again, I'm still trying to 'perfect' it, or just finding one that I'm happy with.

Leave a comment with any post requests, I reply to all of them!

Thank you so much for reading, have a great day and I will post again sometime this week, bye!x
